• Oxygen-Enriched Air Staging (OEAS) technology provides a very economical way to dramatically decrease NOx production in air-fired regenerative glass furnaces. It can be installed in new furnaces or as a retrofit, without making significant changes to the operation and without increasing energy costs. This NOx control technology is available for end-fired and cross-fired regenerative glass furnaces encompassing all segments of the glass industry. NOx reduction levels of 30-75% can be achieved, depending on initial conditions, with a limit of about 1.0 kg NOx per ton of glass for container glass furnaces.
